Fort Wayne, Ind. – The City of Fort Wayne’s Neighborhood Planning and Activation Workgroup has canceled the Neighborhood Presidents Meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, in Room 035 of Citizens Square.

 

The meeting has been canceled for City employees and Neighborhood Association Presidents to attend the unveiling of Pillars of Hope and Justice, a public art monument in downtown Fort Wayne dedicated by the Fort Wayne Public Art Commission commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic speech in Fort Wayne on June 5, 1963. Martin Luther King III will speak after the unveiling.

The event will be on June 5 from 6 - 8 pm.

  • Please park in the lot between the monument and the USF Robert L. Goldstine Performing Arts Center (431 W Berry St.), 
  • The dedication will begin at the monument at 6 pm. 
  • The speech by Martin Luther King III will take place at the USF Robert L. Goldstine Performing Arts Center

 

The next Neighborhood Presidents Meeting is at 6 p.m. Monday, September 30, in Room 035 of Citizens Square.
