City opens applications for 2025 Fort-ify Neighborhood Accelerator Program

Fort Wayne, Ind.– The City of Fort Wayne’s Community Development Division is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 cohort of the FORT-ify Neighborhood Accelerator. This leadership program supports new, re-launching, and developing neighborhood associations, helping them strengthen their communities and create positive change.

Neighborhood Presidents Meeting

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The City of Fort Wayne's Community Development Division will host their next Neighborhood Presidents Meeting at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 2 at Citizens Square in the City Council Chambers located on the Garden Level. The meeting will also be streamed live on the Fort Wayne Neighborhoods' Facebook page.

Mayor Tucker announces update to plans for $45 million mixed-use development at The Wells Street Wedge site

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Today, Mayor Sharon Tucker, the Fort Wayne Community Development Division and Barrett Realty Investments announced that the Indianapolis-based developer will move forward with plans to construct a mixed-use project on the 2.28-acre site known as “The Wells Street Wedge.” This site is located northwest of Promenade Park, along the north side of the Saint Marys River, and is connected to the park by the old Wells Street Bridge.

City’s commitment to neighborhoods continues with new Neighborhood Identity Pilot Grant

Fort Wayne, Ind. –Mayor Sharon Tucker, the City of Fort Wayne Department of Neighborhoods and City Councilwoman Michelle Chambers today announced the launch of the new Neighborhood Identity Pilot Grant, a program aimed at helping neighborhoods establish a strong identity and implement branding strategies.

City’s Heating & Air Conditioning Program (HVAC) set to open October 2nd

Fort Wayne, Ind.– The Office of Housing & Neighborhood Services will begin accepting applications for the City of Fort Wayne’s Heating & Air Conditioning Program on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The program offers qualified residents a zero percent interest loan for the replacement and installation of new heating and air conditioning systems for their homes. A mortgage will secure the loans, and repayment will be required in monthly installments over ten years.
