Registration Open for the 2024 Inspire Neighborhood Conference

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Registration is open for the free 2024 Inspire Neighborhood Conference. This event aims to energize and equip Fort Wayne neighborhoods, residents, and leaders. Hosted by the City of Fort Wayne's Neighborhood Planning and Activation Workgroup, the conference will take place on September 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Electric Works, 1690 Broadway. An awards dinner will follow in the GE Club from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Residents can sign up for both events or attend just one.

Completion of new headquarters for local business highlights ongoing progress in southeast Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Today, Mayor Sharon Tucker, alongside the City of Fort Wayne’s Community Development Division and partner LegacyOne, Inc., led a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new headquarters of a local real estate company in the Southtown Centre shopping area.

Linda Golden, owner of LegacyOne, Inc., built a 6,000 square foot building on a 1.3-acre parcel of land bounded by Menards to the west, Southtown Crossing to the north and east, and South Phoenix Parkway to the south.

Mayor Tucker announces awarding of 22 grants to non-profit programs

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker today announced that 22 local non-profit organization programs will receive funding from the City of Fort Wayne’s federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) dollars.

City awards record number of neighborhood improvement grant projects

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Mayor Sharon Tucker and the City of Fort Wayne’s Neighborhood Planning and Activation Workgroup announced today that 46 neighborhood improvement grant projects are being awarded, totaling more than $200,000. These projects range from new landscaping in common areas to replacing neighborhood signage.
